STUDENT:
You are planning to move out and rent a flat together with your close friend. You’ve already found a lovely and affordable place, and you’ve even spoken with the landlord. However, your parents are unaware of your plans.
You now want to talk to them and explain your decision. Your goal is to convince them you are mature and responsible enough to live independently and you’ve carefully thought things through.
You start a conversation.
TEACHER : (your parent)
You are surprised and disappointed by your child’s decision to rent a flat. You strongly disagree with it. You believe they are too young, too inexperienced, and should focus on studying. You also don’t trust that they can manage both work and school at the same time.
The conversation should last around 5 minutes.
