Task A: Warm-up
Discuss these questions with your partner. Use zero and first conditionals in your answers.
- What usually happens when there is a power cut in your home?
(Zero conditional) - If the electricity goes off tonight, how will your family react?
(First conditional) - If you cannot charge your phone for two days, how will it affect you?
Task B: Problem Scenarios (Second Conditional)
Choose TWO situations and explain what you would do. Use second conditionals.
- There is no electricity for a week during winter.
- Your phone battery is at 3%, and the power cut starts.
- You must prepare a presentation for tomorrow, but your laptop is dead.
- You have guests visiting, but the house has no light and no heating.
- All shops and cafés in your town also lose power.
Task C: Past Events (Third Conditional)
